Game- Adventures of Bayou Billy
A strange place to start off the second episode of a new show, but a fun episode. The game is one I’d never heard of called the adventures of Bayou Billy, but it was quite good.
Billy was a great ally, he was a good mentor and one of those father figure types who when you saw him you knew that the situation was safer. It was also good to see Kevin stumped, you knew he was the games master but this game had even him stumped, a genius stroke by Mother Brain and while her look into the real world was questionable (how?) it was good to see her take decisive action this early, she saw he was a powerful threat and tried to turn his faults against him.
This episode introduced my favourite Mother Brain henchman to us, dr Wily who was probably the closest character to the game version in the series. Wily was good as you always felt that he had ambitions beyond being a mere henchman, the other two had their rebellions but he was biding his time. In this episode however he was simply a creator, who made this weird thing that wasn’t actually a robot I think.
Overall a good episode that helps to show us a few of Kevin’s weaknesses.
