Title-Simon the Ape-Man (November 11, 1989)
Game- Donkey Kong, Castlevania, Donkey Kong Junior (cameo), Kung Fu (I think, Cameo)
Another episode with Castlevania, it was mainly in the first season a lot and in fact didn’t seem to be in many of season two episodes at all. Simon gets amnesia after a collision and tries to remember who he is, first the N team try to help him, then Mother Brain tries to steal him, then Donkey Kong finds him and makes him DK JR. Would have been cool to see DK JR but alas twas not to be.
The Count returned and was for once his own man, the other episodes he was just a threat on the world, now he’s actually trying to take the whole place over single handed. I liked the fact that they followed the games in the respect only a vampire hunter could beat the undead, even one with amnesia. Donkey Kong’s cool as we get to see his life in this episode, rather than a small cameo, I liked DK here, sure he was a King Kong rip off but still he didn’t copy any of the movies ideas and later episodes, he rocks completely.
Overall a cool episode that DK and Castlevania fans will love.
